Summarize the conversation history into a shorter context.
Usage
In the interactive screen, type /compact and press Enter.
When to use it

When the conversation gets long and the model starts forgetting earlier context

When you want to keep going on the same topic while reducing token usage
Notes
Unlike /clear, this preserves the gist of the discussion — it doesn’t reset the context. Use it when a long-running session starts feeling heavy.
