Blaze

v0.21.1 : Update notes

Thank you for using Blaze!

v0.21.1 brings smoother text display and scrolling in chat. It also fixes local edits being overwritten during Change Management sync, along with issues affecting Salesforce org switching, login, file attachments, and browser tests.

1. Smoother chat display

Response text now appears more smoothly, with improved automatic scrolling while Blaze is responding. We also refined the motion of operation history and transitions between execution states.

We reduced the work needed to display long responses and avoided repeatedly processing messages that have not changed.

2. Fixed local edits being overwritten in Change Management

Fixed an issue where syncing with a Salesforce org could overwrite local edits to permission files, fields, validation rules, and other components within an object.

  • Fixed discarding unsaved changes also reverting content already selected for saving.
  • Fixed resolving a conflict also saving unrelated changes that were selected.
  • Fixed external change dependencies failing to display or including dependencies for a field with the same name on another object.
  • Fixed permission information being only partially retrieved when there were many records.

See Change Management.

3. More reliable Salesforce org switching and login

Fixed messages sent during an org switch running against the previous org. Both the main window and the launcher now wait for the switch to finish before running the request.

  • Fixed temporary connection failures, such as those after waking from sleep, causing an unexpected logout.
  • Fixed login sometimes getting stuck when login completion processes overlapped.
  • Fixed switching to orgs whose aliases contain Japanese characters or spaces.
  • Fixed disconnecting one org clearing the org list in other windows.
  • Added an on-screen explanation when disconnecting an org fails.

4. File attachment and browser test fixes

Improved file reading. Fixed garbled text in attached Shift_JIS CSV and TXT files, and corrected CSV parsing for cells containing line breaks. We also fixed sending failures with GIF and WebP attachments and conversations failing to start when image reading took too long.

Improved browser test saving and replay. Improved how Blaze handles requests to save a test and lets Blaze check whether saving succeeded.

  • Fixed closing the browser pane while recording a test preventing later browser operations or the next test from running.
  • Fixed issues with repeated runs of saved tests and resuming after Blaze corrected a step.
  • Improved how Blaze reads and selects Salesforce picklist options.

See Rerun saved tests.

5. Open Canvas from a conversation

You can now ask Blaze to show something in Canvas or create a chart to view inside Blaze without enabling Canvas creation in advance. Blaze can open Canvas and create the requested content from your conversation.

6. Other improvements and bug fixes

  • Fixed closing settings, search, or other panels with Esc also stopping Blaze while it was running.
  • Fixed thinking text appearing in another thread or answers to questions reaching another thread when multiple threads were running at once.
  • Fixed a response to a new question appearing in the previous response bubble after an error.
  • Fixed queued messages remaining unsent when execution finished while you were viewing another thread.
  • Fixed the first request after startup timing out while waiting for the org list.
  • Fixed settings such as theme and language not being reflected in other windows.
  • Improved explanations when a screen fails to display or settings cannot be saved.
  • Updated bundled software to address known vulnerabilities.
